El desarrollo de Blender se encuentra apoyado por diferentes iniciativas que tratan de reunir a talentos de todo el mundo en un objetivo común: buscar y validar los procesos de producción con esta fantástica herramienta de trabajo para animación sintética.
En el siguiente proyecto se ha trabajado durante un año en los estudios de la “Blender Foundation” únicamente con esta herramienta en la creación de escenarios y posproducción del corto que puedes ver a continuación.
Este proyecto, denominado “Mango“, es un nuevo hito en el desarrollo de este software.

“Tears of Steel” was realized with crowd-funding by users of the open source 3D creation tool Blender. Target was to improve and test a complete open and free pipeline for visual effects in film – and to make a compelling sci-fi film in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
