Insomnia is one of the most common sleep disorder.
Although insomnia is often only seen as difficulty initiating sleep, the fact is that the inability to sleep can take several forms:
- difficulty falling asleep at bedtime (initial insomnia, the most common of the three)
- frequent awakenings during the night (intermediate insomnia)
- waking early in the morning, earlier than planned (insomnio terminal)
This prevents the body needs recovery during sleep, I can cause daytime sleepiness, low concentration and inability to feel active throughout the day. (W)
