I do not dispute the need to tighten their belts in a society with economic difficulties, quite the contrary. There are moments in life when we must cut our expenses to achieve ambitious goals.
What I do argue is what is the game you must make the effort saver. Advisors?? Representation expenses?? Cars of politicians?? Olympics?? Expenditure on armaments …. Clearly there are many economic items that seem to be completely dispensable and, however, our politicians do not seem to substantially reduce them.
It may be simply a matter of image; They may not represent a major item in the total expenditure of a state increasingly indebted but should be the first, while other, in my opinion, should be saved to the extent possible: Education and health.
We could lose a generation that is unlikely to be recoverable. Today's education of our children is our tomorrow, is the future of this society that should protect them by giving them the best weapon for defense: their education.
If you want one year productivity, rice plant. If you want productivity 10 years old, plant trees. If you want one hundred years productivity …. men plant !
The image today is a vindication of what logo “We do not want”: cuts in education. Some cuts to public education mistreat breaking the principles of equal opportunity for all, for our children.
Update
