Técnicas Dinámicas y Aprendizaje Transversal y Competencial en Grupos Numerosos de Alumnos: Proyectos de innovación educativos

The dynamic training in many groups is a task that requires specific strategies to achieve.

The difficulty of organizing experiences in a dynamic group of over 40 or 50 school, creates a rejection to the Alarm incorporate appropriate educational techniques. This occurs especially in the first year groups that are generally overcrowded.

On the other hand, techniques incorporating project-based learning is generally recommended in more advanced courses maturational aspects of pupils.
Last, skills training and other non-specific skills in the areas of knowledge that constitute the current stadium plans, and must adapt to E.E.E.S., be included in the different academic activities.

In this article (presentation in pdf) presents a model developed by the Aeronautical EUIT U.P.M. for the delivery of courses of Graphic Expression that has been tested in groups of 120 school, in models used meaningful learning in cooperative groups incorporating the provision of small projects that are complementary skills, preparing them for more advanced courses.

The success of this model to suggest its adaptation or generalization to other areas of knowledge, I can also serve as a basis for a cross-training.
I commented some of the most relevant aspects of this presentation.

For the realization of the experiences have formed working groups composed of students in a formal course that has been developed experimentally.

The members of the group should take a few roles that serve to your organization. These roles are changing and rotating between the members of each team

The activities are designed to be achievable on a specified time frame; should serve as motivation and approach to the subject in a fun, presenting aspects usually contemplated in the classical teachings in them regladas, promoting cross-learning and generalization of the concepts covered in the course.

Participation is reinforced with these activities may seem “innocent” exercises but have proved useful in analyzing the educational performance

Note the involvement especially in laboratory activities, in which students bring a special “seriousness” as monitors in courses using computer tools, and in which “peer learning” provide the first approach to novel environments.

What are the basic specifications to define these projects? A few simple rules can give a basic guide for your design:

Why not build such a paper airplane? We can from a known design and improve, from a functional point of view, or aesthetic, the constructive…. At last, after, appellant is an engineering process that can form in the working methodology of future engineers.

And a game of trivial design adapted to the teachings under study? The development of the set of questions is a clear stimulus for learning concepts…and also serves to play after class !

As can be seen, there are many choices to make teaching more fun.
