How real is the image, or is created with a computer simulation?
The slogan I read it for the first time on posters promoting Official master in computer graphics, games and virtual reality taught at the URJC.
The question is correct, the boundary between reality and simulation is becoming more diffuse, at least in regard to the credibility of synthetic images.
The new rendering engine “Blender“, called “Cycles” produces images so realistic as shown in the following image, which is available as a wallpaper 1280 x 1024 for use as desktop background. A coffee cup with little caffeine and much calculation. (500 integration steps).
An example to be discussed from the point of view of the materials used in its digital edition.
What “shaders” have been used in each object?
