ROSA is an animated short film set in a post-apocalyptic world where all natural life has disappeared. Between destruction awakes Rosa, cyborg part of the Kernel, the last attempt to save the human race the earth's ecosystem. Rosa will soon discover that it is the only entity that has awakened and must fight for survival. The film was created entirely by young graphic novelist Jesús Orellana with no budget for a year. Since its world premiere at the Seattle Film Festival, ROSA has been an official selection at film festivals around the world such as Screamfest, Toronto After Dark, Anima Mundi o Los Angeles Shorts Film Festival. In October ROSA was screened at the opening ceremony of the festival of Sitges, considered the best festival in the world specializing in the fantasy genre.
After his successful spell at festivals, the short has attracted the attention of the major talent agencies and Hollywood producers. 20th Century Fox feature film adapted to real image ROSA, be led by Jesus himself Orellana. The film will be produced by Simon Kinberg of Genre Films, junto a Scott Glassgold & Raymond Brothers de I Am Entertainment. The script will be based on an original story by Jesus Orellana to expand the original short film. (ROSA)
