The SDO pages (Solar Dynamics Observatory), NASA program to investigate the causes of solar variations, have a repository spectacular images of the sun.
These pages contain wealth of scientific information on issues concerning solar radiation, with periodic updates its image bank at different frequencies and with different computer processing.
A place for lovers of astrophysics and the study of our solar system and a visual treat for fans of images of the universe.
SDO: The Solar Dynamics Observatory is the first mission to be launched for NASA’s Living With a Star (LWS) Program, a program designed to understand the causes of solar variability and its impacts on Earth. SDO is designed to help us understand the Sun’s influence on Earth and Near-Earth space by studying the solar atmosphere on small scales of space and time and in many wavelengths simultaneously.
