Among the Blender plugins is incorporating “Sapling” (small tree in UK) that can generate parametrically the structure and foliage of a tree. This plugin is based on Article “Creation and Rendering of Realistic Trees” de Jason Weber y Joseph Penn.

With the basic model that comes by default and a stage extrusion generated surfaces are subdivided plane created the scene that you can see below, which has rendered the motor “Cycles” the Blender.

The composition was made with Blender 2.6, using the background image and building geometry Snowman and tinsel.

In this case we have constructed a christmas tree through a geometric transformation, a helix.

Let's see how we can create a snowflake using the Blender geometry editor 2.6.

A snowflake, as we have used to create a wallpaper, is a fractal (self-similar) with six axes of symmetry. Its structure is therefore based on models which are essentially hexagonal, as shown in the attached image. Each arm hence repeated six times on each of the flakes, although there are different configurations depending on the crystallization conditions such as temperature and humidity.
