Educate playing with impossible figures

figura_imposible

Impossible figures can be real simple objects that produce optical illusions obtained by proper perspective.

Use from the educational point of view can be justified in requiring a detailed analysis for understanding.

They can also be approached as a challenge for the student who can compete with others in an educational game object identification. Do not forget that play activities encourage interest in the learning process, entertain and arouse curiosity for the study of new cases: Learning enjoying.

Oxygen [ Animation ] [ Education ]

oxygen

An interesting animation work, del Ringling College of Art + Design, which can be seen teaching uses image synthesis for education.
In this case a friendly oxygen atom pair is not easily due to its properties when combined with other elements is encouraged.
A fun way to learn and memorize complex aspects of chemical, developed with great imagination.

Origami : How to Book

book origami

The art of creating objects from a single sheet of paper, origami, is based on a few simple principles topological. An interesting example that may surprise us is the realization of a small book based on these techniques. Also, for younger, It can be a fun element that serves to bring them to this… (leer más)

Scale of the Universe (interactive)

metro_escala

In NASA pages every day we can find a picture of astronomy, some of great beauty and other, no less gripping, educational character marking.

Last 12 March 2012, published an interactive Flash application that allows you to appreciate the different orders of magnitude of our universe. From the tiniest on a scale in which the atoms are enormous, to the most massive of our universe, where the biggest stars are simple points of light.

Recursive Fractals: Koch Curve [JAVA]

curve-of-koch-triangle-full-150

We have seen a first program called “DrawWorld” we introduced the JAVA programming oriented graphics. This module has served on the program to see a recursive fractal primer: The triangle Sierpisnki.

Let's change this basic program to generate a new basic recursive fractal: Kuch curve.

Representation systems : Projections [ Descriptive geometry ]

Projections

The so-called representation systems encompasses a set of techniques and projection models for viewing items in a three dimensional space on a two dimensional plane.

Each of the systems provides a number of advantages that make it particularly useful in certain applications. So, systems that are included in the set of perspectives, are especially useful to give a simple three-dimensional view of the object. Cylindrical nature systems facilitate operations orthogonal measure to reduce them to obtain Pythagorean triangles (rectangles), models while central conical or approximate how the human eye works.

Pieces animated spatial vision training

piece of technical drawing

Classically, to train our students in spatial vision, static images were used to represent volumes Mechanical.

The technology to create learning environments in which you can add motion to the representations, viewing closer to that obtained with a real object.

Figure impossible [ Imagen ] [ wallpaper ]

Figure impossible

The so-called impossible figures can be a pleasant pastime in the study of geometry.
Its construction using a modeling tool such as Blender, is an interesting exercise in application of the concepts studied in the prospects.

Debetener What form and what point of view is to be used to create the misleading appearance? An optical illusion can fool our senses.

Metric geometry : Angles on the circumference : Central and inscribed

angulo_inscrito

In metric geometry measuring two concepts on which is based its axiomatic model: measures linear and angular measurements.
The linear measurement is based on the Pythagorean theorem and the relationship between these measures in Thales.
The angular measurement from the relations expressed in a circle and with the above can describe the magnitude of geometric figures.
